Marseille is the heartland of French rugby! It's not often they get awarded international games in this part of the world so expect the locals to be out in force for this one. Marseille is a picturesque wee southern port town that is renowned not only for its passion for rugby, but also for superb hospitality (and sun...we are talking the South of France here).

Stade Velodrome is a unique stadium that holds an impressive 60,000. It is mainly used for Football, and has a huge trench separating the fans from the field, so if you are looking to streak then you will need to leap a concrete ditch of cops! It's usually bathed in sunshine and buzzing with atmosphere.

There are several options to choose from below that cater for all budgets and tastes - you won't regret a mission to Marseille to witness this one off game.

Accommodation

HOSTEL: The hostel accommodation is all shared dorm accommodation in a central city hostel close to the port and bar area and short walk to Stade Velodrome.

Flights/Trains

Several Airlines fly into Marseille direct - but these will fill up quickly (and get expensive). It is possible to fly into Nice and catch the train to Marseilles main station, Gare Saint Charles. There are more than 20 trains a day, and it takes 2 hours on most services. There is also a high speed TGV train from Paris to Marseille that only takes 3 hours...they fair smash it down the country and don't stop for leaves or ice.

Groups or erupting on your own
