THE TOUR

This 4-Day Tour is the minimum time you should spend in Turkey to get the true feel for the country and the spirit of ANZAC Day and Gallipoli. It is an unreal adventure and something every Kiwi should experience while over this side of the globe. All accommodation on the Beige ANZAC tour is in hotels and all transport to and from destinations are in non-smoking coaches (yes you can still smoke anywhere in Turkey!)

The 4 day tour kicks off in Istanbul where we have an opening night party with all the other groups and is a chance to get to know your fellow Kiwis and no doubt a few Aussie travelers who have come for the same reason... they tend to take over!? There will also be plenty of time to explore the streets of Istanbul and look at rugs and stuff.

After having a good look around Istanbul we head off to what we all came for: Gallipoli. You will spend a good day wandering around and exploring the surprisingly small battlefields and the key locations where the Kiwi and ANZAC spirit was born. We then settle in for a night under the stars at ANZAC Cove getting set for the dawn service and then the memorial service at Chunuk Bair (The Australian service is at Lone Pine). PLEASE note that we do not encourage anyone to bring any alcohol to Gallipoli - it's a place that commands a huge amount of respect and is not the place to party, please keep this in mind. There is plenty of time to do that in Istanbul before and after our visit to the Gallipoli Battlefields.

After a morning of reflection on what is a pretty emotional service we get back to Istanbul where we will have a mighty farewell party. We say hooroo to the rest of the tour groups and party in true ANZAC style.
