All Whites vs Australia 9 June 2005 in London

12 May 2005

It's not cricket but we're already getting withdrawal symptoms so we thought we'd get a few tickets to the New Zealand vs Australia soccer match. We ended up getting a pretty big pile - got quite carried away but what the hell - it should be a cracker of a night so come and join in the fun and games in June.

All Whites vs Socceroos

Thursday 9 June 2005

7:45pm Craven Cottage Stevenage Road, Fulham

1. Chip Away in the Beige Brigade Bay on the 9th of June

We're in Block 4 of the Putney End, it's all reserved for us to have some hijinks in. Let's give those cocky Aussies some toe on the field and some lip off it. Tickets in the Beige Brigade Bay are the same price as regular entry to the match (15 quid + 1.50 booking fee). Be nice if everyone could break out the brown and tan gear for the night as well of course. Blow-up sheep and small horses also welcome. See details of a knees-up before and after the game below at Zulus Bar in Fulham.

2. Purchasing Tickets to the Beige Brigade Bay

There are four ways of getting a ticket in the Beige Brigade Bay:

1. Grab a ticket from the boys at the bar at THE WALKABOUT, SHEPHERDS BUSH. Just swagger in and ask for a beige Brigade football ticket.

2. Phone our LUNATIC AUSTRALIAN MATE DAVE who will sort you out with how to get into the beige for the footy. He is on the ground in London and you can get him on his mobile 0793 145 1970

3. Phone THE TICKET OFFICE AT FULHAM FC on 0870 442 1234, then select "OPTION THREE" (NOT option 1). Tell the salesperson you'd like "a ticket for the Beige Brigade section - Block 4 of the Putney End".

4. BUY IN PERSON at Fulham Football Club's ticket office: Craven Cottage, Stevenage Road, Fulham, London SW6 6HH. Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

3. Scarf Collection: 1 June at the Walkabout, Shepherds Bush

This wee knees-up has been held - the punters for the shoot-out have been selected - 3 blokes and 2 chicks from each of the Aussies and Beige Brigade fans. A few beers were had too it must be said - and hundreds of scarves were doled out. Thanks for coming along.

4. Pre-Match & Post-Match Shindig: 9 June at Zulus, Fulham High Street

The football on the 9th of June will be preceded by a few jars at Zulus Bar on Fulham High Street. Cheap drinks and the chance to get all patriotic before swaggering to the match and getting behind the All White boys. Be there from 5pm-7pm on 9 June. We will also chip back here for a few more after the game until late - we have invited the All Whites and their hangers-on to get along as well. The Zulu Bar's website is below:

Putney Bridge (0.2 miles), Parsons Green (0.2 miles), East Putney (0.9 miles)

Putney (0.8 miles), Wandsworth Town (1.3 miles), West Brompton (1.4 miles)

5. Half-Time Penalty Shoot Out - Get on the Field

Everyone who bought a ticket to the Beige Brigade Bay before June 2 was in the draw to win a place on our untested team taking on the Ocker fans in a Penalty Shoot-Out during the half-time of the big game between the All Whites and the Socceroos on 9 June. The shoot-out will be brilliantly ridiculous, and gives us a chance to win something at Craven Cotttage!

6. The All Whites Squad

Goalkeepers: Mark Paston (Walsall), Glen Moss (NZ Knights).
Defenders: Che Bunce (Cambridge), Danny Hay (NZ Knights, captain), Ryan Nelsen (Blackburn Rovers, capt), Tony Lochhead (University of Santa Barbara), Craig Wylie (Waitakere City), Steven Old (St Johns University).
