Good news for those London dwelling En Zeders. Toast NZ moves back outdoors after the slightly claustrophobic Earls Court Olympia in ‘08 (…lets be honest it was pretty rubbish indoors!)
This year Toast NZ is cutting loose in Clapham Common on Saturday June 27th…a short stumble to a lot of antipodean dwellings (which will no doubt result in some significant after parties). The Dobber is confirmed to perform….the wine tents and quality gourmet food tents are back as is International Polo…all is forgiven!

Plus for the 29th year in a row international rugby’s largest cranium returns and will be swigging beer with the Beige Brigade in the Sports Zone.

If you are in London and keen to dust off the pads for the 2009 season then get in touch with the chaps from The London NZ Cricket Club (Any Kiwi’s based in London are welcome to bend the back and erupt through cow corner).
It’s a cracking wee club that get invited to play at some sensational grounds in and around London. Click HERE to view the website and get in touch to register your interest.
They also have a fairly healthy social calender including the famous club ‘Drinks Party’ at NZ House on April 22nd…an ideal start to the 2009 season.

Top marks to this chap in the UK….
”An 18-year-old has secretly painted a 60ft drawing of a phallus on the roof of his parents’ £1million mansion in Berkshire. It was there for a year before his parents found out. They say he’ll have to scrub it off when he gets back from travelling”

Kyle Mills coming in as nightwatchman at number four and then going out for 2 on Friday evening was certainly not the primary reason we lost the Test match at Hamilton. But, along with dropped catches, reckless batting, messy ground fielding, inconsistent bowling and a smidgen of bad luck, it certainly didn’t help. I was despondent as I mowed into my chicken, cranberry, camembert burger and watched Mills trudge off forlornly.

If you are looking at securing a solid (and early) Fathers Day gift this year - look no further than Justin’s latest wee number - The book basically follows Justin and his 4 mates as they travel around India in a Hi-Ace van with bat & ball in hand challenging locals on any surface…basically a BYC pilgrimage through India. Check out the slide show of them bending the back in the most unusual setting…certainly beats having a beer crate as wickets! Click HERE to view.
*PLEASE NOTE this tour was not BCCI endorsed…Justin and his friends have unfortunately been banned from all forms of cricket back in NZ…except women’s cricket.

Bowling Through India - out in June!
Episode 84 (22 March 2009): The “What About Those Warriors?” episode in which Kev, The Woman Slayer, Off White Thunder, Fat Lou’s Old Man and The Godfather review correspondence from Murray, Reg, Sharky and Mark, the News or Ruse goes off-track, we reselect the New Zealand team, Kev drops Ross Taylor, and the Woman Slayer tees off with his first fresh song for a while and it is pretty pessimistic - plus Warriors updates…listen in to the streaming version or download the mp3 below…all the shows are online here…or visit The BYC page on iTunes.
